Execution of Bank Gurantee

In terms of Para
4,19 of PB wherever any duty free import is allowed or where
otherwise specifically stated the importer shall execute a LUT
or Bank Gurantee with the Customs Authority before clearance
of goods through the customs in the manner as may be prescribed
. |

In case of Indigenous
sourcing the lience holder shall furnish BG/LUT to the licensing
Authority befor sourcing the material from the indigenous supplier/nominated
agencies |

In terms of Para
4.24 OF HBP Bank Guranttee has to be executed as under |

| A |
The Status
holder/PSU amd Manufacturer Exporter registered with excise
authority with export of Rs 1 Crore and above in preceeding
year and who has not been penalized under the Custom Act,
Excise Act, Foreign Trade Development and Regulation)
Act 1992 and FERA shall be reuired to furnish Legal under
taking in the form given in Appx 24 B

Manufacturer
Exporter shall be required to furnish bond supported by
Bank Gurantee to the extenmt of 25% Excise Duty saved
|

Merchant
Exporter other than status holder/PSU shall be required
to furnish bond supported by Bank Gurantee to the extent
of 100% of excise dury saved on the items which they intend
to procure indigenously in lieu of direct import |

The request for
Bank Gurantee of licence shall be made in the form given in
Appx-24A |
